About ILASA

The Indian Literary and Art Society of Australia Inc. is a Non-Profit organisation of language/literature lovers and artists of Indian origin and Australians. A poet-writer in both Hindi and English and teacher Rekha Rajvanshi founded ILASA in April 2011 for the benefit of community specially our younger generation.

ILASA promotes Indian languages, literature and various Indian art forms in Australia. ILASA is formed to share India’s rich cultural heritage amongst Australians. This society offers opportunities to the budding writers and artists to showcase their talents.

ILASA coordinators come from a rich cultural background, who have the same vision of protecting our cultural identity and passing our culture to the younger generation. Many ILASA coordinators are well-known writers and artists with strong ethical values and cultural connection with India.
